How can I find the amount of gold found in a gold watch?
If you just going to try something, you have a jeweler do it. They (usually) maintain a team from nothing easy to get a good estimate of the amount of gold jewelry. It was a small scratch small amount of gold, adding to the known acids scratches and compare the result of the known standards. Must be cheap and for someone with practical, quick, easy and accurate. For beginners, the results are likely to be useless, assuming you have the kit on hand and scartch. Jewelers to have 2 results. (Probably should explain in advance not intend to sell the clock, just want to know the proportion of gold, otherwise, have reason to give a low estimate.)
